Tour de Lure
Saturday April 1, 2017 - Marion, NC - The course is a scenic yet hilly 71-mile route with 5600’ of total ascent. The ride winds through scenic farmland in McDowell County, climbs up Stone Mountain, passes through Chimney Rock and around beautiful Lake Lure, and finally heads back into McDowell County via the Assault on Mt. Mitchell route. The roads are lightly travelled with few turns, have nice pavement, and cross no major highways. Whether you are looking for a fun day out on the bike or a great training ride for “The Assaults,” this ride will have what you need.
Tour de Blaze
Saturday April 1, 2017 - Charlotte, NC - On Saturday, April 1st Blue Blaze Brewing will be combining two of our favorite things – beer and biking – for our second Tour de Blaze! On this bike ride, we will make multiple stops at your favorite #WestEndand #Uptown #CLT bars, pubs, restaurants, bottle shops - you name it! Each stop will feature one of our unique blazes for your tasting pleasure. The ride begins at 1:30p, but those who come early get a free bike inspection by Uptown Cycles and a chance to grab a brew before the ride! Sunday April 2, 2017 - Awendaw, SC - Join us for the 2017 After the Bridge Run Ride! This classic, annual, Lowcountry bicycle ride winds through beautiful Francis Marion National Forest. The event raises money for the support of bicycle advocacy in the Lowcountry and around the state! Tour de Pickle
Saturday April 29, 2017 - Mt. Olive, NC - Get in a bike ride through scenic Wayne, Sampson and Duplin counties in Eastern North Carolina, then take in the 31st annual N.C. Pickle Festival in downtown Mount Olive. Tour de Pickle starts at 9:30, and the award-winning festival runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Three stages of entertainment, food, pickles, antique and classic cars, an artisan village, chili cookoff, carnival rides, mascot race, did we say pickles?, and much more.
Cycle Out Hunger 2017
Saturday April 29, 2017 - Rock Hill, SC - Cycle Out Hunger is a ride through York County, SC to raise money for the Salvation Army's Food Pantry in Rock Hill. Ride will be supported with aid stations (sport drinks, water and sweet and salty snacks). Riders may choose to ride 40 miles or 87 miles.
7th Annual Timmy Belcher Memorial Rainbow Kidz Ride & Run
Saturday May 6, 2017 - Statesville, NC - Join us for the 7th Annual Timmy Belcher Memorial Rainbow Kidz Ride & Run!! This event includes a 5K, 10K and 1 mile fun run and 10mi/35mi/60mi cycling routes for cycling enthusiasts. 5K and 10K are professionally timed on a fully supported route. All cycling events are timed for personal benchmark only. All routes begin and end at Western Ave Baptist Church in Statesville.

Saturday May 6, 2017 - Oakboro, NC - Proceeds from this ride benefit for Relay for Life, and will start at 9 amat Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 17236 Frog Pond Road, Oakboro NC. Two routes: 25 and 50 miles. Riders receive a tee shirt and lunch. Registration is $30 in advance, $35 day of event.
Ride for Wellness
Saturday May 6, 2017 - Matthews, NC - This ride is to benefit the Smith Family Wellness Center, operated by Project 658. The Smith Family Wellness Clinic (SFWC) exists to be Charlotte’s premier clinic that offers medical and counseling services in a combined facility for Charlotte families that are facing personal and family struggles and challenges. For many Charlotte families, access to affordable, safe and quality care is difficult and a near impossibility. The SFWC is designed to provide care for medical and counseling needs and exists in connection with holistic family care services provided by the Project 658 Center. This one of a kind clinic helps address both physical and emotional needs that arise from injury, abuse, addiction and trauma for its patients.

Law Enforcement Bike to DC
Tuesday May 9, 2017 - Charlotte, NC - Law Enforcement officers from Mecklenburg County ride over 500 miles in just four days from Charlotte to Washington, DC. Joined all along the way by fellow officers and citizens, the group rides in honor and memory of those who have died in the line of duty. The ride ends with a Candlelight Vigil at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, DC.

12th Annual VCU Health Cap2Cap
Saturday May 13, 2017 - Charles City, VA - The VCU Health Cap2Cap is an annual ride that spans from Richmond to historic Williamsburg and supports the Virginia Capital Trail. Cyclers can choose from 15-, 25-, 50-, and 100-mile routes to suit their experience level. Unlike bike race events, this event is all about ride, encouraging cyclers to enjoy the scenery rather than compete to finish first. Mitchell State Park in North Carolina—a total vertical ascent of more than 10,000 feet.

Wednesday May 17, 2017 - North Carolina, - On May 17, 2017 at 7:00 PM, the Ride of Silence will begin in North America and roll across the globe. Almost half the route is on the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway, providing scenic views for your ride, and you’ll also see several notable sites along the journey, like the historic Mabry Mill.

Saturday May 20, 2017 - Madison, VA - The Tour de Madison is an annual bike tour that has grown over the years into a cyclist's favorite because of the scenery in historic Madison County.
Storming of Thunder Ridge
Sunday May 21, 2017 - Lynchburg, VA - Lynchburg’s only local road cycling event, Storming of Thunder Ridge brings together cyclers to ride with the Blue Ridge Mountains as the backdrop. There is a ride for everyone in this event, with 27-, 45-, 75, and 100-mile distances. The event starts and ends at the Jamerson Family YMCA, and riders are invited to camp out the night before either in the gymnasium or outside on the soccer field to get an early start. Post ride activities include food, music, swimming, and a relaxing soak in the facilities’ hot tubs.
Breaking the Cycle
Sunday May 21, 2017 - Simpsonville, SC - The 2017 Breaking the Cycle ride is a 30-mile family friendly event presented by A Hand Up Foundation. A ride designed with riders of all skill levels in mind, this benefit will raise funds to establish/support evidence-based programs in South Carolina which fight the cycle of homelessness for children and their families.
Collier Lilly Ride For NC Outward Bound School
Saturday May 27, 2017 - Asheville, NC - North Carolina Outward Bound School (NCOBS) is hosting a Gran Fondo style, timed bike ride in honor of Collier Lilly. The ride offers two beautiful Blue Ridge Mountain routes, the 83 mile Gran route with 8,600 feet of climbing and the 46 mile Medio with 3,600 feet of climbing, that will start and end at Carrie Park in Asheville.
Mountains of Misery
Sunday May 28, 2017 - Giles, VA - The Mountains of Misery is a bike event only for the most dedicated and skilled cyclists. This tough bike route goes through the heart of Southwest Virginia, and the easier of the two distance options is the Century ride, a 100+ mile journey with 10,000 feet of altitude climb. The most seasoned cyclists may want to test their endurance with the Double Metric Century, a route of 124+ miles with over 13,000 feet altitude climb. Both distances finish in a tough, four-mile climb to the finish.
21st Annual Cannonballs Ride For Pride
Saturday June 3, 2017 - Charlotte, NC - Join the members of the Cannonballs Cycling Team for the 21st Annual RIDE FOR PRIDE. This supported ride is designed for all levels of cycling enthusiast - from families and recreational riders to experienced distance challengers. Each rider is free to set their own pace, and select the distance they will be proud to complete. As in previous years, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to a charitable organization. Annual World Hunger Bike Ride
Saturday June 3, 2017 - Rocky Mount, VA - Ride for a great cause during the 28th Annual World Hunger Bike Ride, the longest continuously running cycling event in Franklin County. Riders can choose from 5-, 10-, 2-5, or 50-mile distances, with all proceeds from the event benefitting the World Hunger Fund. The routes wind through the mountains of Franklin and Floyd counties, with the 50-mile course climbing the picturesque Blue Ridge Parkway.
WNC Flyer (Fletcher Flyer)
Sunday June 4, 2017 - Brevard, NC - Riders will have their choice of a full century, metric century, half century, and half metric rides which wind through the valleys south of Asheville, NC. Although it is the least hilly ride in Western North Carolina, it has plenty of rolling hills to keep all riders interested. There is beautiful mountain scenery without the long mountain climbs. The Flyer is a ride for everyone from first time riders to experience riders.

Saturday June 24, 2017 - Valle Crucis, NC - BSG offers both 100 and 50 mile routes showcasing the mountain communities of Watauga County, North Carolina. Highlights include a 21 mile section of the Blue Ridge Parkway, a strenuous climb over the 4,500 foot gap at Snake Mountain, and a 10 mile "flat" on old US 421. Both rides are fully supported with aide stations and SAG support.
Hot Doggett 100
Saturday July 8, 2017 - Mars Hill, NC - The Hot Doggett 100 event includes 3 great rides. The title event is a 100 mile tour through the mountains of Madison County North Carolina with 9600 feet of climbing. For a little less challenging ride there is the Devil's Fork Metric Century with 6200 feet of climbing. New this year, The Big Laurel Grind is a 60 kilometer ride.

Tour de Scholar Charity Bike Ride
Saturday August 5, 2017 - Axton, VA - A charity bike ride that benefits local teachers, students, and schools, the Tour de Scholar Charity Bike Ride starts at the Smith River Sports Complex. This charity event is truly for everyone, with 25-, 35-, and 60-mile distance options, allowing riders to choose their skill level. Even those that are complete beginners can participate, with a five-mile bike course set up within the sports complex. Riders are eligible for a variety of door prizes and provided a free meal by the organization after the race.
Culpeper Gran Fondo
Saturday August 5, 2017 - Culpeper, VA - The Culpeper Gran Fondo invites cyclers of every kind to participate in a non-timed fun ride through low-traffic roads that wind through Virginia’s horse country, farmland, and vineyards, all with the Blue Ridge Mountains in the background. The event kicks off the Culpeper Endurance Festival with 32-, 62-, and 100-mile options. After finishing the event, cyclists are invited to join a post-ride party.

Blue Ridge Brutal
Saturday August 12, 2017 - West Jefferson, NC - New routes for 2017. Safer roads, better scenery but still JUST AS BRUTAL. Not for the faint hearted. One of the most challenging road bike rides in the spectacular mountains of North Carolina with 55, 72 and 102 mile options. For those who are up for it, there’s also the optional Assault on Mount Jefferson - about 1500 ft. of elevation gain over 3.1 miles. All rides take you on to the Blue Ridge Parkway for over 21 glorious miles. Every year we are told by many experienced riders this is the best ride they have participated in. Needless to say, there’s excellent SAG support, ample rest stops, food and beer at the end as well as your own free BRB beer glass and BRB cycle socks to take home with you.
Robin's Ride for Hope
Saturday August 12, 2017 - Denver, NC - Robin Isenberg was a Mother, Wife, and one of the owners of Blood, Sweat, Gears Cycle. She fought Ovarian cancer for 3 and a half years and lost her battle on August 9th, 2015. With some help she created Robin's Ride for Hope in order to combat the Cancer that whispers. Last year the ride donated $8000 to the Foundation for Women's Cancer and an additional $2000 to the Fighting Cancer Inc. who do the Sunshine boxes. The ride hopes to raise even more in the years to come!

Saturday August 26, 2017 - Charlotte, NC - Join us for the 6th Annual Tour de Turns benefit bicycle event offering 15, 25, 37 and 62-mile routes plus a Youth Cyclocross Clinic and Kids Closed Loop Bicycle Course in the safe confines of Carmel Neighborhood Park. Explore backstreet routes through tree-lined (shaded) streets of beautiful South Charlotte neighborhoods all while helping turn the corner on local hunger! Anthem Moonlight Ride
Saturday August 26, 2017 - Richmond, VA - With a Full Moon (15-mile) course and a Half Moon (8-mile) option, Moonlight Ride has something for everyone. And if you’re not in it for the yellow jersey, take advantage of our well-stocked rest stops on Monument Avenue and in Bryan Park. Upon finishing your ride back at Sports Backers Stadium, celebrate at the Agee’s Post-Ride Party with live music. Saturday September 2, 2017 - Charlotte, NC - Formerly known as the Morrison Metric, Ride! Ballantyne is a community ride for cyclists and triathletes of all distances and abilities. As the 2016 runner-up for Best Ride in Endurance Magazine, Ride! Ballantyne offers distance options of 30, 45, 63 and 80 Mile. Fueling stations with restrooms are available on all four bike routes. Sunday September 10, 2017 - Harrisonburg, VA - We invite you to help us celebrate the SHENANDOAH VALLEY CENTURY for some of the finest cycling to be found. The ride starts in Harrisonburg, the bike capital of Virginia, and includes scenic vistas, small towns, beautiful farms, quiet roads, and more. Participants ride at their own pace; the event is not a race. Maps are provided and the route will be patrolled by automobile SAG to provide assistance as needed. A food and drink stop is provided every 25 miles and at the midpoint of the 25-mile ride. Bicycle rides of 25, 50, and 100 miles through the scenic and historic Shenandoah Valley sponsored by the Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition.

RVA to DC Ride
Saturday October 7, 2017 - Richmond, VA - The two-day ride will start at Sports Backers Stadium and take participants on a 156-mile route from the capital of Virginia to the nation’s capital, finishing in Rosslyn adjacent to the Key Bridge with dramatic views of Washington, D.C. On day one, riders will travel 75 miles through Lakeside, U.S. Bike Route 1, Ashland, and Caroline and Spotsylvania counties before ending on a paved multi-use trail in Old Mill Park in downtown Fredericksburg along the Rappahannock River. Day two will take riders across the Rappahannock into Stafford County and Quantico for 35 miles of rural riding and paved trails, followed by low-speed roads through Manassas before a totally unbroken network of paved trails in Centerville at mile 46. These trails will take riders all the way to the finish festival at Gateway Park at the base of the Key Bridge.
Tour de Pig
Saturday October 14, 2017 - Thomasville, NC - The Tour de Pig is a fundraiser for the Mental Health Assoc. in Davidson Co. and is an official event of the Barbecue Festival in Lexington, NC. Routes are available for all levels of ability. There are 100K, 50K, 35K, and 20K routes all starting and ending at the Davidson Co. Community College campus. Pre-registered riders receive a Tour de Pig shirt, a collectible patch, and a barbecue lunch. The ride is furnished with rest stops and ride support.
White Squirrel Classic
Saturday October 14, 2017 - Brevard, NC - The White Squirrel Cycling Classic is a classic fall spinner during fabulous fall leaf season. Starting and ending at the Tasty Weasel tasting room at Oskar Blues Brewery in Brevard NC! Riders will head out on flat valley roads near the base of Pisgah National Forest. They’ll meander along the French Broad River before heading into Henderson County and then back to Oskar Blues. These routes will lead riders on a fully guided and supported tour of some Transylvania County’s finest roads! Chip timing with King of the Mountain segments, fully supported rest stops with medical assistance available, and SAG wagons.
