Novice Level Rides


Social Novice Intermediate Advanced

All rides posted require the rider to wear a helmet. Riders should have a ride appropriate bicycle in good working order, food and water. It is also suggested to carry a spare tube, basic tool kit, emergency contact information and ID. All ride starts are subject to weather. Posted start times may change as the season progresses. Contact the listed ride leader with any ride specific questions.

7:30pm  Cool Breeze Mtb Ride at North Meck Park

Group Mountain Bike Ride at North Meck Park, Huntersville - Join a group for our weekly mountain bike ride at North Meck Park. We will run as many laps as the day allows - and pull out the lights if necessary. We will try to have our Mtn. Bike Demo fleet available on the first Monday of every month.

6:00pm  C4 Touchdown Pizza Ride

Tuesdays we will have an evening ride starting at Touchdown Pizza at 6:00 PM. This will be split into an A, B  and C rides.  The A Ride will be race pace 18mph+ full drop ride at about 26-36 miles depending on the light.  The B Ride will be a NO DROP Ride that will follow the A ride route , but at a slower pace.  The C ride will be a true beginner ride at 14 miles.

6:00pm  First Flight Bicycles Tuesday Mtb Ride

Leave from the shop at 6:00 sharp, ride to the Signal Hill Trail (about 2.5 miles on the road), ride a 4 mile lap or two and return to the shop via the Statesville Greenway or Broad Street.  Round trip is approximately 12.5 miles. With  winter weather, we  try to ride most weeks but it's a good idea to phone ahead especially if the weather has been questionable.

Enjoy this night time mountain bike ride. Usually 1 lap through the park. We run lights in the fall/winter/spring and ride year round. Ride is cancelled only for inclement weather.

Unwind and enjoy our 10+ miles of shaded greenways each Wednesday evening. We will gather in front of the Bike Line store shortly before 6 to ride the Toby Creek, Mallard Creek and Clark's Creek Greenways. Great for beginners, children and people wanting to take it easy! 11:00am  Y Xtreme Team Thursday Beginner Ride

This is a ride for anyone that is new to cycling or just getting back into it. We'll spend time on the basics of riding, equipment and training. A fun, social ride from Colonel Francis Beatty park. The ride starts from Lake Point Hall which is at the very back of the park. No ride if its raining or below 40 deg. at the start of the ride. This ride leaves out after the 9am ride returns to the park.

7:00am  C4 Saturday Breakfast Ride

This ride will start early on Saturday morning at the sunrise, so times will change over the course of the season.  We do 20-40 miles starting in Concord at around a 12 mph pace.  Our ride leader is Steve Mosier, who is an experience touring cyclist.  Check with Steve for weekly date, time, and start location confirmations.

8:00am  C4 SAMBO - C Ride

The SAMBO (Saturday AM Bike Outing) features A, B, and C rides intended to accommodate all levels of riders. All groups will leave from The Right Gear in Kannapolis every Saturday. The "C" ride will run on most of the same roads as the A & B, but will cut off several of the more challenging sections. For those who want to take it easy and be social, or want to get some riding tips from a more experienced rider, this one's for you. This ride will be a no-drop, 13-15 mph pace ride and is flexible depending on who shows up.

8:00am  Ultimate Bicycle Saturday Road Ride

The staff at Ultimate Bicycle are proud to announce that our Saturday road bike ride is back. Join us every Saturday at 8 am at our storefront for a 20 mile no drop ride. Ultimate's road ride has been re done as a no drop casual ride aimed at getting unfit riders back in shape and beginning riders more exposure to group ride techniques.

The Sunday Funday ride is around 20 miles at a 15-mph pace. This a no-drop ride with a leader and a sweeper, with regrouping points along the way. Road bikes are encouraged, but hybrid bikes are allowed. Beginners welcome! For those training for a triathlon, bring your running shoes for a 2-3 miles run afterwards! Year round ride. Show & Go below 40 deg.
