| Details: | Ride the "Bike Bus" to Wine on the Vine! Bring your bike to the Park & Ride or plan to join the rolling bike bus as we pass your nearest Torrence Creek Greenway access point. This is a party-paced, social ride culminating at Huntersville Parks & Rec's free Wine on the Vine event in downtown Huntersville. Once there, we'll have the opportunity to purchase wine (or beer) from 760 Craftworks' mobile bar, and we'll hear updates on future greenway, bikeway, and trail projects. |

| Details: | In the Summer of 1775, Captain James Jack rode 450 miles to deliver the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence to Congress. In honor of his historic ride we invite you to participate in a historic bike ride from the Olde Mecklenburg Brewery to various historical locations around midtown and uptown Charlotte relevant to Captain Jack. The ride will be leaving from Olde Mecklenburg Brewery in Lower South End and we will take the Charlotte Rail Trail to uptown, then down past the Captain Jack Statue, then back to Olde Mecklenburg Brewery. We will stop along the way to point out and explain various historical points of interest! Come celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence! |

Its object is to call attention to the needs of all road users, not just motorists. Besides that? Critical Mass is a great time for all involved that uses organization and safety in numbers to create a safe environment for a fun-filled ride for everyone. Critical Mass is an opportunity to show what our traffic patterns could be. There are many events taking place in Charlotte on a Friday Night, each of them contributing to traffic. Ours is the only one that can get hundreds of people through any given part of our road network in less than a couple of minutes. |
